Welcome to the website for
Shilohouse Ministries.

In
the bible as activities in the courts of different kings are described; certain
servants called
"eunuchs"
are mentioned. There were several characteristics that most of them seemed
to have in common:
1)
Eunuchs
served in the presence of the King
2)
They prepared the bride to
meet the King
3)
Because they had been altered, they had no desire
for
the bride and they did
not seek the adoration of the bride
4)
They protected the realm of the Kingdom
5)
They protected the future bride
In
Matthew 19:12 Jesus said "For
there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother’s womb, and there
are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made
themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He who is able to accept
it, let him accept it."
We believe the biblical
role for ministers called to
"equip the saints"
is one of
"eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom
of heaven’s sake."
As
"eunuchs" the vision for
Shilohouse Ministries
is very simple...
It is to serve the Lord
Jesus Christ and help the bride of Christ make herself ready for His return.
Everything you read here
must be seen in this light. Even with all that is written on this web site;
the term 'biblical community'
implies that what you will read here is only
part
of a conversation that needs to take place.
Since Jesus invested His vision for the Kingdom of God
into the hearts of multiple disciples; it would be foolish to think that what is
shared here is more than simply a small portion of what God is speaking concerning the changes
that are taking place in His church.
While I may at times dogmatically state a viewpoint; even
representing it as a
biblical
viewpoint; please do not interpret this as being closed-minded. Ir may be
that you may have a whole set of scriptures that I have not considered; which in
fact may cause me to see things differently. Again... what is shared here
is only
part
of the conversation.
I believe having this
conversation is akin to what Paul encouraged the Philippians to do when he told
them to "work out your own salvation with
fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for
His good pleasure."
This
first segment then of the website concerning The
Vision for Reformation of the Church
will I pray; be seen in this light.
Understand though; we are
not simply talking about the "reformation"
of a religious system; as the true church or
ecclesia
("called out ones") has nothing to do with the concrete
and steel buildings of men; rather it is about what He desires to do in the
hearts of His people.
The Lord first began speaking
this vision for reformation to me in the spring of 1995. The sum of what
the Lord had shown me since then was placed on this website starting in October
of 2003 and was mostly finished by November of 2004.
If you
have been heavily indoctrinated in a particular church's belief system for
years; some of what you read here may be hard to accept. In fact; it may
even be offensive.
Many
times this is do to the fact that what you have learned over the years; has been
taught to you by good people who were doing their best to teach you what they
had learned through others.
Please
do not interpret this as a broad brush statement that the church is somehow
wrong concerning their conduct over the years. In fact historically
speaking; if we judge the tree by it's fruit as Jesus taught then we must
conclude that the church has done many things right.
However
in the last 20 to 30 years; something has gone tragically off course as the
gospel of Jesus Christ has been replaced by something not seen in the pages of
Holy Scripture. I think we can even say that if we look at this
incrementally; then this drifting from the
"narrow path" has
been occurring for much longer.
Jesus said
"I am the vine, you are the
branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me
you can do nothing."
As the
body of Christ; we have drifted far from
biblical ministry and the framework of biblical community . We need to
collectively "examine ourselves" so that we might bear the fruit
our Lord spoke of.
