Beliefs

The following is offered only as a basic framework of sound doctrine. 

Here at Shilohouse Ministries, , we believe in the following:

We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, the only infallible and inerrant authoritative word of God.  We believe both the Old Testament (Tanach**) and the New Testament (B'rit Hadasha) are together the whole bible. BOTH are for the believer today, and while the Ecclesia (or called-out ones) are a "new testament" assembly, God's Holy Word (old & new) has application and authority today. (see Matthew 5:17-19 where Jesus said “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.  For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.  Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.")  Since we have not seen the events mentioned in Revelation fully accomplished, it would be profitable to heed our Lord's own words (in other words- heaven and earth have not passed away- all is not fulfilled).

We believe "The LORD our God is One" who exists eternally as:  GOD THE FATHER, JESUS (YESHUA) THE MESSIAH, and THE HOLY SPIRIT (RUACH HaKADOSH).

We believe in the DEITY of our Lord Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, In the miracles worked by His hand, in the atoning work of the Cross brought about by the shedding of His blood on Passover.  We believe He died, was buried in a tomb, and rose again on the day of First Fruits (known as Easter to the Church).    See discussion on Christ's Passion Week.  We believe that Jesus is presently seated at the right hand of the Father making intercession for us.

We believe in His personal return in power and glory.  That to our Precious Jewish brothers and sisters, Yeshua is BOTH Maschiach ben Yosef (the suffering servant of Isaiah 53 - first coming), and Maschiach ben David (ruling King / Kinsman-Redeemer, upon His imminent return).  We believe the Lord will rule and reign from the eternal city of our God;  where He will "roar from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem." (see Joel 3:16-17)

We believe the regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for the salvation of lost and sinful man and in His present ministry by whose indwelling the believer (Jew & Gentile) is enabled to live a godly life.

We also believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and and the Power of God present in this age. see Spiritual Baptism

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto resurrection of life where we will forever be with the Lord, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation where they will forever be separated from the living God only to experience eternal weeping and gnashing of teeth.  

For those who emphasize the grace of our Lord over the judgment of a righteous and Holy God, consider what some of the Pillars of the Faith have said.  It would be good to remember that an understanding of both the Grace of our Lord and the righteous requirements of a just and Holy God are needed as we walk down the path of eternal life that our Lord has placed us on.

We believe in the priesthood of the believer as we each have been given a ministry of reconciliation; whereby we are led by the Holy Spirit as Sons and Daughters of the Most High God to be witnesses of these things both in Jerusalem, Judea, and the uttermost parts of the earth.

Finally the bible talks about the importance of having vision and purpose for our lives.  In fact God's Word says that vision is so important to our lives; that without it we will not be able to accomplish God's will for our lives.  We as God's children should have purpose and direction as we walk the path of life before us.

We feel that the Vision for Shilohouse Ministries provides a healthy environment for you to grow in your relationship with Jesus and build meaningful relationships with other Christians.  As you grow in Christ, you will find that our vision allows you the freedom to step into the dreams and vision that the Lord has placed in your heart.
